Meet Alisha Bridges
Alisha has always been drawn to art as an outlet. One of her first realistic drawings was a childhood toy, sketched in crayon on the back of a brown paper bag. These days she rarely goes anywhere without a sketchbook, paints, or a pen to capture the beauty in everyday scenes.
Growing up in upstate South Carolina, she learned to find beauty in the common and to seek out uncommon beauty too. Her landscapes often come from summer travels, and just as often from a nearby farm or stream.
During the school year Alisha is a full-time teacher. That same love of helping people learn is what Creative Canvas is about: a relaxed night out where anyone, including people who have never held a brush, leaves with something they're proud of.
